BORDER CROSSINGS: The number of migrants arrested at the southern border dropped suddenly and drastically in June, according to the Dept. of Homeland Security. Federal officials say arrests were down 28 percent for the month in a sign that Mexico’s new enforcement tactics — spurred by President Trump — are working. Apprehensions typically dip in the hotter months, but June’s decline was much steeper than the prior June, which had an 11 percent drop-off. POLITICO

The raids are planned for at least 10 cities with ICE agents targeting at least 2,000 immigrants who had been ordered deported.
