Iran sentenced a Princeton University graduate student to 10 years in jail, accusing him of spying for the U.S. government. Princeton says Xiyue Wang, a Chinese-born American dual national, studies Eurasian history and was in Iran to do research for his doctoral thesis. The U.S. state department called for the immediate release of all US citizens in jail in Iran. THE GUARDIAN
