WHAT NOW: Irma has been downgraded to a tropical depression but still is bringing strong winds and flooding to Georgia and Alabama. Charleston, South Carolina was also hit by major flooding. SEE PICS

TRANSPORTATION: Flights to Miami and Fort Lauderdale are expected to resume today, but it will likely be several more days until schedules return to normal. More than 10,000 flights were cancelled because of the storm. MIAMI HERALD

RECOVERY: Millions of Americans are making their way home after a mass evacuation from Florida. Experts say even though the storm has passed, there are still a lot of potential dangers from things like downed power lines, flooding, and even wild animals in the streets. CHEDDAR
